– Every single character is either boring or stuck-up
– 3-second “puzzles” that only serve to waste your time
– It was 90 minutes I’ll never get back

Highlights include a customizable playing arena, HUD, unique graphics, and AI bots. For the more advanced player there are new game modes and a wide variety of physics settings to tweak as well.”

– Very accurate recreation of light cycles from original Tron movie
– Violent-less, passive-aggressive gameplay
– Settings and options out the wazoo

Cons:
– Settings inside of settings inside of settings may scare off casual players
– Engine sound bores its way into your skull
– Online players usually know how to crush you quickly and efficiently

Pros:
– A plethora of options to tweak and fiddle with
– Having seven people huddled around a computer sounds fun
– The flat simplistic pixel art does not hinder gameplay

Cons:
– Despite the options, none of them have a large effect on gameplay
– Camera works against the players in co-op
– The monotonous sound of wind blowing through your speakers will slowly drive you to the brink of insanity Continue reading

“In Perspective, the player has two modes of control: a first person camera moving in 3D space, and an avatar that is constrained to the 2D world. In order to get the 2D avatar to the goal at the end of the level, the 3D player needs to move around in 3D space to create paths for the 2D avatar.”

– Compatibility issues
– Some puzzle rooms seem a bit too easy

Podcasts. It’s the Wave of the Future

The Tie Attack staff spends a lot of time sitting at desks while working.  I’m sure many of you are in a similar situation.  For me, silence while staring at my computer screen could be labeled as pure torture.  Music only holds my attention so long.  Sure, that new Macklemore album is awesome, but how many times can you run through all the tracks in one sitting?  I quickly found myself needing to find a new source of entertainment to fill my ear holes while on the job.  Enter podcasts.

My coworkers and I have all fallen deeply in love with the pre-recorded radio shows, some of us listening to them for six to eight hours a day.  Each of us has different interests, and each of us has favorite podcasts.  We decided the best way to showcase them was to compile a list:  Tie Attack’s Favorite Casts!
